After three wins in a row, the Niners Chemnitz suffered a defeat in the first game of the year against Rasta Vechta. Without Ty Brewer, who was moving to Russia, the Saxons lost 90:96 (43:39). Kevin Yebo was the best scorer with 25 points.

Ty Brewer moves to Russia

On Sunday, the Saxons had to do without US forward Ty Brewer for the first time. The top performer is moving to the top Russian club Kazan. “It is a unique opportunity for Ty and because Aher Uguak is expected to return to our permanent squad in a few weeks, we have given the go-ahead,” managing director Steffen Herhold explains the decision.
