On the sixth match day, the MBC basketball players got off to a furious start: against Ludwigsburg, the Weißenfels team had to give up for the first time this BBL season.
The Syntainics MBC has lost its reputation as an unbeaten BBL team this season. After five wins at the start, the Weißenfels team lost to the MHP giants Ludwigsburg 82:93 in their own hall on Sunday.
Callison best MBC shooter
The outstanding Traveon Buchanan (32), Elijah Hughes (17) and Yorman Polas Bartolo (10) played the biggest role in the guests’ success. For the Central Germans, Charles Callison (16), Spencer Reaves (14), Marcus Foster (12), Khyri Thomas, Jure Planinic and RJ Gunn (10 each) scored double figures.
No Weißenfels tour
Marco Ramondino’s team didn’t even lead and got on the wrong track in the first quarter when the guests took the lead 27:14. Before the change, the MBC was only able to catch up by four points at 35:44. The second half was full of baskets. The guests stayed cool and extended their lead back to the old distance until the last change. There was no turning point. Syntainics still retained its lead in the table.

MHP giants with air supremacy and very good three-way quota
The guests benefited from their success from their outstanding three-point rate. 15 of the 30 attempts from distance ended up in the Weißenfels basket. The Ludwigsburg team also had the air supremacy under the boards, grabbing 46 rebounds while the home side only had 31.
