The Niners Chemnitz are currently at the top of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) table. At the start of the eighth match day, the Niners won on Friday against the Rostock Seawolves with 85:75 (42:34) and now have one win, but also one more game, than Alba Berlin and champions Ulm.
The Niners continued an impressive winning streak and now have 13 wins in a row across all competitions. Chemnitz’s best scorer was guard DeAndre Lansdowne with 28 points. Derrick Alston Jr. (26) was the most successful thrower for the guests.
At least until Sunday, Chemnitz will remain in first place. Then Berlin and Ulm could each pass again with a win. Alba receives the MBC, the Ulm team travel to the Würzburg Baskets.
