BBL, 12th matchday: Leader Bonn also rolls over the Skyliners

Status: 12/29/2022 10:19 p.m

Telekom Baskets Bonn remain at the top of the table in the Basketball Bundesliga after the twelfth day of play.

The easy 89:66 (40:27) on Thursday evening (December 29, 2022) against the Fraport Skyliners was the fifth win in a row and the eleventh success in the twelfth game.

Top performance by Tyson Ward

The outstanding player on the floor was Tyson Ward, who sank seven of his eleven threes and scored 29 points. Second in the table, Alba Berlin, who has also only suffered one defeat, can catch up in the home game against the Skyliners on January 3rd.

The game of the champions and cup winners against Niners Chemnitz, originally scheduled for Thursday, was postponed on Friday due to the Euroleague game at Lyon-Villeurbanne.

Bayreuth missed liberation

Kellerkind medi Bayreuth has meanwhile clearly missed another liberation. The penultimate table suffered a bitter 73:95 (33:53) home defeat against BG Göttingen on Thursday evening.

The cautious euphoria after the win against the former series winner Brose Bamberg (92:86) is followed three days later by the disillusionment with the 2010 cup winner. The 20 points from guard Ahmed Hill, who became the top scorer of the game, could not change that.
