Bayern star-transfer for the club a “great risk”

Luis Díaz has hit FC Bayern Munich. The 28-year-old is happy about his debut in Munich and hopes for more “great things”.
Bayern Munich’s star shopping Luis Díaz described his transfer as a “great risk” for the record champion. But he was “very grateful to the management that it turned to me and trusted me,” said the 28-year-old at ESPN. Bayern pay up to 75 million euros for the offensive player from Liverpool FC. Now it is up to him to “contribute my part on the field”.
During the 2-1 win of the Munich in the Supercup duel at VfB Stuttgart, Díaz had scored his first goal for the Vincent Kompany team. “It is incredible to start like this. I am very happy. I dreamed of getting here to achieve great things and do my best. I’m trying to enjoy football,” said the Colombian.
Before his transfer to Munich, he also talked to Liverpool’s newcomer Florian Wirtz about Germany. “I already had some knowledge of the Bundesliga. I love to watch football and all competitions. I had the opportunity to speak to Florian in Liverpool, and I know that it is a physical league,” said Díaz.
On Friday (8:30 p.m./Sat.1 and Sky) the international starts with Bayern against Leipzig to the Bundesliga. He hoped for a “great debut,” he said, but also restricted: “I’ve been in the club for about two weeks and I need time to settle in.”
After his goal against VfB, he had thought of his late Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota with his cheers. “It is brutal. The fact that he is no longer with us and we have lost an incredible teammate is incredible. Nobody is prepared to maintain this kind of message and get along.
