Bayern Munich | Joshua Zirkzee demands regular assignments: “I would like to have this guarantee”

In the course of the whirlwind of changes surrounding Robert Lewandowski, a possible loan return at FC Bayern is currently being mentioned more frequently: Joshua Zirkzee has developed splendidly in his year at the traditional Belgian club RSC Anderlecht and is currently returning to Munich. However, a new attempt by the 21-year-old with the German record champions is not a done deal.

Anyone who was directly involved in 31 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions can attest to a top season with a clear conscience. And file claims. So it’s hardly surprising that Joshua Zirkzee is full of self-confidence after a successful loan to Anderlecht.

With 18 goals and 13 assists, the Dutch U21 national player has extremely good arguments for another chance at probation at his home club Bayern Munich.

At the moment, however, it is unclear whether Zirkzee will really open again on Säbener Straße. Speaking to the Belgian newspaper “HLN“The attacker, whose contract expires in 2023, now kept all options open.

Zirkzee “didn’t have much contact” with FC Bayern

“I know what I want,” emphasized Zirkzee, alluding to the highest possible game shares with his future employer. “I would like that guarantee,” he added.

And as luck would have it, the impending departure of Robert Lewandowski at FC Bayern could actually create new space on the offensive.

Zirkzee confident: “I’m confident that I can make a good step.”

At the same time, the highly talented center forward revealed that he had “not had much contact” with his regular club in the past few weeks and months.

In general, staying at FC Bayern is “an option”, but a future in Anderlecht or elsewhere is just as good. His goal: “I just want to gain self-confidence and feel at home at a club and in the area.”
