Bayern Munich | “First cream”: Klopp praises Mané

Successful coach Jürgen Klopp once again said goodbye to his star player Sadio Mané, who had switched to FC Bayern, with great praise.

“World class as a guy and kicker,” said Klopp about the 30-year-old in an interview with the “Leipziger Volkszeitung”. “His acceleration from a standing start is unique. You can’t learn how to pick up and take the ball while standing or in a sprint. He has a built-in navigation system, always knows who is where and where the ball has to go. His dribbling, his finish, his courage, his robustness, his lightness, his character – all top notch.”

Bayern announced the star player’s commitment on June 22nd. Mané signed in Munich until 2025, according to reports, Bayern transferred a transfer fee of 32 million euros, which could increase to 41 million with bonus payments. Mané’s contract in Liverpool was actually dated until 2023.

“Sadio and Liverpool will stay forever,” said Klopp. “We had six great years together, suffered and celebrated. Now he really wanted to do something new and we complied with that wish.” The club “love Sadio and wish him the best. He’s not completely gone, he still has a house in Liverpool.”
