Giffey and Bonga without a point

Even Bayern’s Carsen Edwards’ 21 points were not enough to win. World champion Andreas Obst only got six points, Niels Giffey and Isaac Bonga even had no points.

With nine wins and 14 defeats, things are getting really tight for Bayern in the fight for the championship round. Places seven to ten, which at least entitle you to take part in the so-called play-in, are moving further and further away.

Respectful success for Alba

With no play-off chances, Alba Berlin celebrated a respectable success in the bottom of the table. The team led by captain Johannes Thiemann won against Red Star Belgrade with 89:80 (51:36). Former NBA professional Matt Thomas was Alba’s best scorer with 19 points. With five wins and 18 defeats, the Berliners are still stuck at the bottom.

There are also concerns about world champion Johannes Thiemann, who collapsed on the field in the 24th minute and then had to be carried off the field limping. He must have been hit. Without their captain, Alba had to tremble again in the final phase, but in the end it was just enough.
