Bayern Munich | Boss Hainer: At Müller and Neuer there will soon be enforcement

The contracts of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski at FC Bayern Munich end in the summer of 2023. However, this status is likely to change for two out of three of the players just mentioned. FCB boss Herbert Hainer has now revealed that.

For weeks and months, not only FC Bayern fans have been waiting for good news from the three pillars of the German record champions. The entire football world is spellbound by Säbener Straße.

Anyone interested – at least in the case of a duo – probably won’t have to wait much longer. Because while Robert Lewandowski’s future has been a topic several times recently, garnished with countless speculations about alleged dissatisfaction and the desire for change, the bosses in the background have apparently taken important steps towards extension with Thomas Müller and Manuel Neuer.

“Things are looking very good for Müller and Neuer, there are advanced talks and I also think that we will soon be able to announce something,” said Herbert Hainer on “Bild”. The FC Bayern president was in good spirits, but dampened expectations of a quick solution when it came to the team’s top scorer.

Bayern Munich “doesn’t let Lewandowski drift”

“A conversation took place with Lewandowski. As far as I know, a second conversation has already been scheduled. The talks will also be continued there. We won’t let ourselves drift,” Hainer indicated the direction of the march.

In addition to extending the contracts of the established forces, the Bayern boss also spoke about newcomers. “We have a very, very good squad, but we will continue to develop it for the future. We look around the market where we think we still have room for improvement,” explained Hainer.

“Our sporting management is on the road in many fields. As soon as there is something to report, we will do it too,” continued the 67-year-old, who, with a view to the traded Ajax stars Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch, did not look into the showed cards.

“We look around the market and have many, many discussions with interesting players in order to further improve the squad,” the president repeated his words almost in the same wording when asked by “Bild”.
