Former national team captain Michael Ballack sees the current crisis at record champions FC Bayern Munich as an advantage for the Bundesliga.
“It’s good for the league if Bayern don’t say hello from the top as they have in recent years,” said the 46-year-old to “SID”: “I think that’s healthy, that creates healthy competition.”
At the same time, the former Bayern professional also sided with coach Julian Nagelsmann: “You should also give Julian Nagelsmann and Bayern a little time to find each other.” In any case, Ballack believes that Munich’s focus is on the Champions League: “I reckon they have very good chances there”.
Nevertheless, according to Ballack, it is “the best argument” for Bayern, who have been without a win in four Bundesliga games, to win games again as quickly as possible: “Otherwise, of course, the criticism will be louder.”
