Bayern Munich | After criticism: Nagelsmann teases Hamann

FC Bayern had to settle for the next draw in the Bundesliga. Coach Julian Nagelsmann defended his players after the 1-1 draw against TSG Hoffenheim. The Munich trainer also teased TV expert Dietmar Hamann.

As in the previous week, FC Bayern was 1-1 on the scoreboard after 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. Although the record champions were able to create significantly more chances in Hoffenheim than the day before against Bayer Leverkusen, the result was not right.

“I’m a friend of always seeing attractive football games. It was a very good game for the fans. I’m also satisfied with the performance for a long time,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann after the game on “Sky”.

The 34-year-old rated the performance against Hoffenheim as a “step in the right direction”. At TSG, Nagelsmann relied on a double six from Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala, as he did in the 7-1 victory in the Champions League against RB Salzburg.

TV expert Dietmar Hamann questioned FC Bayern’s offensive orientation even before the match. Nagelsmann himself defended his line-up after the final whistle.

“I will also discuss this with Didi again because I find it a bit unfair to the players. When you see how hard-working Serge (Gnabry), King (Kingsley Coman) and Leroy (Sané) are,” he said Coach in front of his players.

With a view to Musiala’s role, Nagelsmann could not resist a verbal jab at Hamann. “Maybe he used to see himself as a very offensive eighth and didn’t feel like defending. I’m a coach at Bayern Munich and I always try to consult with my players. And they also have the clear idea that the best The staff is currently playing in the way we are playing,” said the Bayern coach.

Hamann was active in defensive midfield during his career. The 48-year-old played 143 competitive games for FC Bayern.
