Bayern beat Chemnitz and took the lead

Thanks to a strong comeback, the basketball players from Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga top game and took the lead in the table.

Coach Pablo Laso’s team was behind for a long time against the previous leaders Niners Chemnitz, but still prevailed with 89:80 (39:53) and thus extended two impressive series: It was the twelfth victory in a row, and Bayern also won also their tenth home game of the season.

World champion Isaac Bonga excelled with 18 points, Serge Ibaka with 14 points and Sylvain Francisco with twelve also contributed to the victory. At times the Munich team were behind by 18 points (50:68, third quarter), but then they fought their way back step by step.

Bayern won the final round with 27:8. The guests’ best scorer was Kaza Kajami-Keane with 15 points.

Alba Berlin had significantly less trouble in the 108:85 (55:44) win against BG Göttingen, with which the team consolidated third place in the table. Defending champion ratiopharm Ulm ended its short negative series of three recent defeats with an 83:70 (45:36) against Hamburg Towers.
