Leverkusen coach Erik Ten Hag has to do without several players against Chelsea. One is returned to the league start. The downtime is open to the others.
Bayer Leverkusen must do without several top performers at the start of the season. In the 3-0 test game against the Italian second division club Pisa SC on Tuesday Execiel Palacios and Jonas Hofmann each muscularly injured their thighs. The club announced that both will fail for the time being.
Newcomer Malik Tillman and the Brazilian defender Arthur are also currently missing and did not start the trip to the competitive game general rehearsal at Chelsea FC on Friday evening in London.
In the meantime, the first mandatory task for Leverkusen is scheduled for Leverkusen in the DFB Cup at SG Sonnenhof Großaspach. The Bundesliga start of TSG Hoffenheim follows eight days later. At least Tillman is expected again in the squad for this game.
