Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin instructed to conduct an investigation into the facts of shelling by Ukrainian artillery of Russian medical vehicles in the special operation zone, according to the agency’s website.

“According to the available information, representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine carried out targeted shelling of Russian ambulances that have generally accepted identification marks of the established pattern in the form of a red cross,” the committee said.

Bastrykin instructed the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee to record the facts of such attacks, identify the persons involved in them and bring them to justice.

In addition, the head of the demanded investigate “the facts of injuries of civilians in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of shelling by Ukrainian armed groups.”
