MBC brings center with NBA experience
Basketball Bundesliga club Mitteldeutscher BC has signed American James Southerland until the end of the season. As the bottom of the table announced, the 25-year-old comes to Weißenfels from the Italian first division club Vanoli Cremona. The power forward will play for MBC in the Bundesliga for the first time on January 31 in Leipzig. Opponent is ALBA Berlin. Southerland made four NBA appearances during the 2013-14 season for the Charlotte Bobcats and the New Orleans Pelicans. Before his engagement in Italy he played for the French top club Limoges CSP, with whom he won the championship title.
