Michael Jordan is back: From autumn, the 62-year-old NBA games will analyze live on TV. At the broadcaster NBC, he is not the only former star in the team.

If the North American basketball league NBA will be shown again at the broadcaster NBC from autumn, Michael Jordan will also be part of the broadcasts as an expert. The parent company NBCuniversal announced this on Monday as part of a presentation in New York. Officially, Jordan’s job name is “Special Contributor”.

“I am so excited to see the NBA back at NBC,” said Jordan in a statement. The broadcasts were a significant part of his career. Now he is looking forward to accompanying the project and being part of the NBA on NBC again in October.

NBC Sports President Rick Cordella was proud of the newcomer. Jordan had won six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls and was elected as the most valuable player in the final series every time. He took part in the All-Star game 14 times, won the title of the best scorer ten times and won two Olympic gold medals with the US team-1984 in Los Angeles and in 1992 in Barcelona.

NBC had secured the rights for the transfer of NBA and WNBA games last year- for a total of eleven years from the 2025/26 season. Other earlier NBA stars are to complement the NBC team: Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller will be used as commentators, Carmelo Anthony assumes a role as an expert in the studio.

At the same time, the broadcaster announced that the voice of the former NBC spokesman Jim Fagan with the help of artificial intelligence. Fagan accompanied many programs from 1990 to 2002. In the future, his voice should be heard in selected intros, title sequences and trailers.
