At Alba, Center Yanni Wetzell was added to the injuries list with one infection, so that the Berliners had only eleven players in the squad – including two young people. In the arena there were numerous Serbian supporters who were loudly noticeable. Before the game, numerous police forces moved into the guest fan block, but withdrew shortly before the start of the game.

Alba fights to the end

The game was surprisingly very balanced. Both teams left a lot, a real flow of the game hardly arose. And so none of the opponents were able to settle at first, the leadership changed back and forth. Only shortly before the break, Roter star managed a small 7-0 run.

The Berliners remained on it, in the middle of the third quarter (45:45). But then McCormack retired with five fouls and Alba had no more a center in the squad. But Alba fought, even took the lead eight and a half minutes before the end (62:61). But then the forces were missing and Belgrade struck back, even if the hosts never died.
