Pleiß is cleared at the three-point line, but his throw is blocked by Agbakoko. However, the home side are lucky and stay in possession of the ball. The ball goes into the hands of Parsons, who once again shows his touch in the two-man area.

Vechta is doing a good job getting to the free throw line here. Again it’s Thiemann, but this time he only gets one point. Then there is a quick steal and Verge is allowed to score easy points. After all, ALBA then frees up Wood on the three-point line, who brings them back to ten.
23.
19:34
56:44
The guests haven’t scored a point in over 2:30 minutes. On the other side, Verge again plays a lob under the basket, which Thiemann claims well and is then fouled when finishing. The Big keeps his nerve on the line and Vechta leads here with twelve points!
22.
7:31 p.m
54:44
The third quarter begins with numerous missed opportunities. Guests in particular miss out on getting closer from outside. Then Verge works his way to the line, but only hits one of his two throws. As a team, they are just 6/11 on bonus rolls.

Start of 3rd quarter

7:16 p.m
Half-time conclusion:
Vechta scored an incredibly strong 31 points in the second quarter and therefore went into the break with a nine point lead! Verge orchestrates this offense at will and has nine points and six assists. Pleiß is still a real weapon from a distance today and Brown does what he always does. On defense, they managed to force a lot of turnovers through high pressure. More clarity is needed from ALBA.

End of 2nd quarter

19:14
53:44
Griesel scores from distance after a pass from Hermannsson, making an important play for his team. However, the joy only lasts for a short time because Brown on the other side increases by three points after a pass from Verge.
20.
19:12
50:41
That’s a strong play! Verge, who is outstanding today, plays an alley-oop from the half court towards Pleiß, who just has to stuff it because the pass is perfectly placed.
19.
19:11
48:41
Vechta is on fire! They move the ball well again and then it ends up at Pleiß. We’ve seen that a few times today and here too the big man thanks us with the three-pointer.
18.
7:10 p.m
45:39
The home team manages the next steal. Pandi passes to Verge, who plays a ground pass to Van Slooten under the basket. However, Van Slooten doesn’t expect this and therefore can’t hit the layup.
17.
7:09 p.m
45:39
And-One! Brown moves from the center to the basket and it’s just so incredibly fast. Roberts can’t keep up either, but fouls the Vechter when he finishes. That doesn’t stop him from scoring and the hall likes it! The only downer is the missed free throw.
17.
7:06 p.m
41:37
Today he’s running it from outside! With the shot clock running out, Verge has to take the three-pointer and on the second attempt the ball flies through the ring. If he keeps throwing like this, it will become a real problem for Berlin.
16.
7:04 p.m
38:35
O’Connell moves to the basket and stops there really cleverly, causing his opponent to jump into space and the Berliner can easily score. Brown then uses a hard screen on the center line from Pleiß for an aggressive drive to the basket with a strong finish.
15.
19:02
36:31
Kuhse wants isolation against Delow and gets it. With a spin move he creates enough space for his mid-distance throw, which seems to always fall for him these days.
14.
7:00 p.m
34:31
In the very next ALBA play, Pleiß has his hands in a pass and Vechta can make the game quick. Parsons runs the one-man fastbreak and does it really shifty.
13.
6:59 p.m
31:31
From a Berlin timeout, Vechta puts a lot of pressure on Malte Delow, who has the ball. He can’t find a solution and there is a turnover due to a step error.
12.
18:56
29:29
Kuhse is turning up the heat now! He gets to his desired spot in the middle distance and goes up beautifully to throw. He falls and the game is balanced again.
11.
18:54
25:27
This is how you can start! Hermannsson plays a perfect alley-oop to Agbakoko, which is worth seeing. Then at Vechta the ball goes into the hands of Kuhse, who takes his second three of the game and scores for the first time.

Start of 2nd quarter

18:52
Conclusion 1st quarter:
What kind of first quarter is this again? There is so much pace and intensity in this game. Both teams didn’t give each other an inch of space and even though the Berliners got off to a better start, the hosts were able to fight their way into the game. Two three-pointers in a row from Pleiß were particularly important.

End of 1st quarter
9.
6:48 p.m
9:23 p.m
Verge dribbles with a lot of speed, but then tries too hard and loses the ball while dribbling behind the back. Kayil then wants to play an alley-oop on Griesel in the fast break, but he is not in scoring position. Instead, he plays it back to Kayil, who is now waiting at the three-point line and sinks it.
8.
6:45 p.m
7:18 p.m
The hosts take the lead for the first time! Verge is not defended closely on the perimeter because his shot is not respected. He doesn’t let it sit and welds the threesome.
7.
18:44
16:18
The pace is incredibly fast! Mattisseck hits from mid-range. Vechta makes the game quick through Verge, who serves Brown with an outstanding floor pass for the layup.
6.
18:43
12:16
Pleiß and Parsons each miss good opportunities from a distance. Kayil wants to play a lob, but Pleiß smells it and catches it out of the air.
5.
18:42
12:14
Verge brings the ball down the field and is not properly tackled. He passes to Pleiß on the three-point line, who doesn’t miss this heat check and puts the next three-pointer on the scoreboard!
4.
18:41
9:12
For the first time the hall here in the Rasta Dome shakes. Van Slooten steals the ball and in transition he has enough overview to release Pleiß on the three-point line. He doesn’t hesitate for long, but sinks it from outside.
4.
6:40 p.m
6:12
Bean now hits from a distance! However, Held is not taking any time off, but rather wants his men on the court to sort things out themselves. At least Brown gets a layup and scores his next points.
3.
6:38 p.m
3:7
ALBA is off to a really good start here! All of the first four Berlin degrees find their way through the ring!
2.
6:37 p.m
3:5
This time Brown does it better! Again he gets the ball in the right corner and is now not out of bounds. The throw is also right for the important first Vechtan points!

Berlin hits the first three of the game! Wood has some luck over the board. On the other hand, Brown is out of bounds in the right corner.

Game start
6:10 p.m
However, there is still room for improvement for Vechta, especially when it comes to rebounds. While the men from the capital got 49 boards (35 of them on defense), the Lower Saxony team only grabbed 35. In addition, scoring from the two-man area was problematic as they only managed to get very difficult shots inside the perimeter.
5:56 p.m
Two games have passed so far in the playoffs for all teams. A look at the statistics shows: Berlin with 40% and Vechta with 43% are the two most dangerous teams outside in the postseason so far.
5:46 p.m
This meant that the Berliners achieved the extremely important equalizer in the series, because with a 0-2 deficit it wouldn’t necessarily have been any easier in the Rasta Dome. The 90:85 win also ensured that Pedro Calles was finally able to break his streak of 16 games without a win in the playoffs.
5:36 p.m
With a 1:1 draw, the series goes to the Rasta Dome in Lower Saxony for the first time! Vechta was able to steal game one and thus the home advantage. In the second game of the series, Vechta almost had a hand in it after ALBA had dominated for a long time, but ultimately couldn’t knock the ball over. Kuhse had the chance to equalize with his three-pointer after a strong comeback from a 17-point deficit, but the shot wouldn’t fall.
5:30 p.m
A warm welcome to the third game of the series between Rasta Vechta and ALBA Berlin! Tip-off is at 6:30 p.m. at the Rasta Dome.
