Baseball-players Roelie Henrique and Kenny Berkenbosch start their last season

The baseball league will start again tonight. Amsterdam Pirates-players Roelie Henrique and Kenny Berkenbosch start their last season.

Henrique will start his fourteenth season in the Dutch big league. In 2010, he made his debut with Amsterdam in the Dutch big league. From 2016 to 2018, he also played for HCAW, but returned to Amsterdam in 2019. “I want to finish at the club where I once started,” says Henrique.

The 38-year-old Kenny Berkenbosch also seems to be working on his last season. “Last year was a bit of a disappointing season. I want to retire with a good feeling and I think this is my last season.

Florida Marlins

At the age of seventeen, Berkenbosch signed with the Florida Marlins. For that organization, he played for various teams in the Minor League. In 2006, he returned to the Netherlands and started playing for HCAW. In 2007, he transfers to Amsterdam Pirates. Tonight he starts his seventeenth season with Amsterdam.
