Barcelona hosts the most important airport fair in the world

Aena is the host of the ICA EUROPE/WORLD 2023 annual general meeting, conference and exhibition (WAGA 2023), the most important event in the world for the airport and aviation sector.

The ACI (International Airports Council) conference, which is being held in Barcelona from Monday to Wednesday the 28th, brings together the leading representatives of airports and industry professionalsproviding a unique opportunity to network globally.

During the three days that the event lasts, the participation of more than 700 delegates from all ICA regions, including the CEO of kyiv-Boryspil International Airport, Oleksiy Dubrevskyy.

Participants will have the opportunity to establish collaborations, exchange knowledge, as well as learn about the latest trends in the industry as it continues its recovery and plans for its future.

The attendees, representatives of airports, regulators and analysts will address the main challenges of the airline industry after the pandemic. Data and projections will be shared and topics such as the regulation, policies, regional and international connectivity, as well as environmental, social and economic sustainability.

The objective is to promote collaboration between the different elements of the air transport value chain: decarbonisation, the future of airports, capacity and customer experience, among others. All of this aimed at proposing proposals to boost recovery, promote safety, strengthen connectivity and adopt more sustainable practices in the airline industry.

ACI was established in 1991 to promote collaboration between airports and other partners in the world of aviation, such as the one that encompasses all airlines, IATA (International Air Transport Association), or CANSO (International Organization of Navigation Service Providers).
