Barcelona was already close to relegation in the fourth group round.

Inter fanned three times at Camp Nou. EPA / AOP

Barcelona would have liked a home win over Inter. A tie point remained in hand – which keeps the continuation dreams alive, at least barely.

Barcelona sneaked into the lead at the end of the opening half. Raphinha and Sergi Roberto drew a pretty curve pattern For Ousmane Dembelewho poked the ball into the net from in front of the goal.

At the beginning of the second half Gerard Pique beckoned and let go by Alessandro Bastoni over the ball sent into the box. Nicolo Barella thanked for the loose piece and shot from close to the front upper corner.

It was about an hour Sergio Busquets, the turn of another Barca conker, to double. After a stray pass by Busquets, the ball was played to the top Lautaro to Martinezwhose angry shot crashed into the net via two posts.

Robert Lewandowski scored an equalizer after pinball, but Inter took the lead again. Martinez served, Robin Gosens finished.

In the second minute of added time, Lewandowski made a wonderful header and tied the game. Camp Nou sighed, because a defeat would have meant relegation.

The last act of the miraculous goal celebration was Inter’s two-to-zero attack in the fourth extra minute. Instead of a pass and a sure goal, Martinez chose a shot Marc-Andre ter Stegen to the calf.

Inter is second in Group C with seven points, Barcelona is third with four points. Both still face both Viktoria Plzen and Bayern Munich.

A home win over group jumbo Plzen in the next round, which will be played in two weeks, is enough for Inter to secure a place in the next round.
