Barbour promotes Paul Wilkinson to deputy group managing director

British clothing retailer Barbour has given Paul Wilkinson additional responsibility. In his new dual role as Deputy Group Managing Director and Group Commercial Director, Wilkinson will be responsible for all global sales and marketing activities of the traditional company, Barbour announced on Thursday.

Wilkinson only took over management of the Great Britain and Ireland regions in the spring in addition to his positions as Global Marketing & Commercial Director and Managing Director for the US business. Following his announced promotion, Wilkinson will “drive the next exciting phase of the global development of our brands and business activities,” said Group Managing Director Steve Buck in a statement.

At the same time, the company announced the appointment of Neil Parker as Managing Director, Global Distributors. In this role, he will report to Wilkinson and will specifically drive business in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to his new employer, Parker has many years of experience with well-known shoe and clothing suppliers such as Crocs, Tommy Hilfiger and Levi’s. Most recently, he was responsible for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region at Gant as Managing Director.
