As the film hits theaters worldwide, a program for designers arrives on HGTV (and Real Time).

The world has exploded Barbie mania. The movie of Greta Gerwig in the first weekend it collected over 337 million dollars, with an excellent result also in Italy, exceeding 5 million Euros collected in 4 days. If the Barbie mania conquers the cinema, the TV is ready to reap the benefits, so from Monday 24th July it arrives Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge a challenge between designers.
Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge how does it work?

The appointment with Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge Monday July 24, 2023 is on hgtv extension and simulcast on real-time (but only for the first episode). At the heart of the program is the challenge between eight pairs of designers to create a life-size reproduction of the iconic Barbie house. Hosting the program is author and entrepreneur Ashley Graham. There will be some to challenge each other among HGTV’s best-known faces and a Food Network chef while their work will be judged by the famous designer Jonathan Adler and the interior designer Tiffany Brooks, who will be joined by celebrity guests every week, including some protagonists of the film Barbie.

In Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge each episode will have a nostalgic theme linked to the history of the doll at its core and each pair of designers will create a project inspired by the house that can be a lighted dance floor, an aquarium/desk, or a phone booth which hides inside a lift for dogs. At the end of the competition, the winning team will make a donation in their name to Save The Children. At the end of the challenge one lucky fan will be able to win a staycation in the biggest, boldest and most extravagant house of all time.

In the first episode airing Monday, July 24 on HGTV and Real Time, as well as streaming on discovery+ Ashley and the contestants will take an inspiring tour inside Mattel headquarters, and receive an amazing Barbie themed surprise. The first two teams that will kick off the challenge by renovating the first floor of the house will be Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson (Married to Real Estate) and the couple composed by Jasmine Roth (Help! I Wrecked My House) together with chef Antonia Lofaso (Beachside BrawL). Egypt and Mike will be inspired by the neon style of the 90s for the entrance, the living room and the dining room, transforming the rooms into a pink paradise. Jasmine and Antonia will look to the 60s for a futuristic kitchen. Surprisingly, Kitty Black Perkins, the creator of the first black Barbie, will arrive on set.
In the second week of the Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge will compete against Ty Pennington (Rock the Block) and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab) building a 70s nightclub for Ken, and they will have to compete with Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin (Farmhouse Fixer) that will give the master bedroom a touch of 80s glam. Third installment with Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas (Bargain Blocks) who will work the driveway and exterior of the house, while Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt (100 Day Dream Home) will take care of the garden. In the final bet Christina Hall and James Bender (Christina on the Coast) will think of Barbie’s walk-in closet while Michel Smith Boyd and Anthony Elle Williams will work at the chic office (Luxe for Less).
