Barbara Schöneberger: I’m very trusting

Presenter Barbara Schöneberger (48) believes in the good in people.

“I’m very trusting, my entire life. I’ve never had bad experiences and that’s why I always believe that everyone only wants the best,” she told the German Press Agency in Berlin.

“A TV production company once called me and said they needed a brown old Porsche – just like the one I have. Could you borrow it for a moment? Then I said: ‘Yeah, sure, that’s nice.’”

Then someone came, picked up her car and left her a few notes. “I signed it and so did he,” said Schöneberger. “In the evening I told my husband that someone had picked up the Porsche for a television production. Then he said to me: ‘Are you crazy? Do you have a number?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, it says here.’ ‘Have you ever called?’ – ,No.'”

Schöneberger does not get any tips for “Do you understand fun?” beforehand

“The end of the story was: The Porsche came back the next day. It was for a movie. They were infinitely grateful to me. They gave me a huge bouquet of flowers. I never would have thought that it could be a fake,” said Schöneberger, who moderated the show “Do you understand fun?” for the first time on Saturday (April 2).

How did the experience change your relationship with your husband? “Nothing has changed for me,” she said, “but he’s probably starting to think about who he’s living with.”
