The Italian football association has blocked ex-international Marco Sau for 18 months. In addition, the currently uniform striker has to pay a fine of 15,000 euros and complete therapy against gambling addiction.
Sau, who played for Cagliari in Serie A, is said to have completed over 5,000 bets between 2022 and 2023. He is said to have bet on national and international football games, including in series A and the Champions League.
