The French fashion house Balmain and the US cosmetics group The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. announced a new license agreement on Monday. As part of the partnership, the two companies will jointly develop, manufacture and market the “Balmain Beauty” cosmetics line, Estée Lauder said. The goal of the collaboration is “to change the world of luxury and couture cosmetics through extraordinary design, unique craftsmanship and an unyielding commitment to innovation,” the group explained. The new line is scheduled to start in autumn 2024.

As part of the partnership, Estée Lauder has expanded the responsibilities of Guillaume Jesel, who has been a member of the group’s executive team since 2014 as Global President, Tom Ford Beauty. Effective immediately, he will assume the new post of President, Global Brands, Tom Ford Beauty, Balmain Beauty and Luxury Business Development, the company said.

“Balmain and Olivier Rousteing are visionaries in the global fashion world. We look forward to working with them to expand the Balmain universe and create a new space for luxury cosmetics that reflects the brand’s strong, inclusive and fearless spirit,” said Jesel in a statement.
