The Swiss fashion company Bally has appointed Rhuigi Villaseñor as its new creative director. In this function, he will now “take over the artistic direction of the brand,” said the luxury label, which belongs to the Luxembourg-based JAB Holding, on Tuesday. The company announced that Villaseñor will present its first collection for Bally for the spring/summer 2023 season.

The Filipino-American national made a name for himself with his label Rhude, which he founded in 2015 and has been CEO and chief designer ever since. Villaseñor is considered “one of the most promising fashion talents of today,” said Bally. “His thriving business includes clothing and accessories coveted by celebrities around the world.”

With the new creative director, the Swiss brand intends to further advance the repositioning initiated three years ago. The company has “found the right champion” to “take Bally to the next level,” CEO Nicolas Girotto said in a statement. “I entrust Rhuigi as a talented visionary to further develop our brand’s contemporary relevance and accelerate growth while upholding Bally’s core values.”
