Baldessarini grants shoe license to Gordon & Bros

The men’s fashion brand Baldessarini, which belongs to the Herford-based clothing group Ahlers AG, presented its new license partner for shoes on Tuesday. The company signed a long-term license agreement for the development, production and distribution of a men’s shoe collection in spring 2022 with shoe manufacturer Gordon & Bros, Baldessarini said in a statement. The range will therefore consist of “thirty uncomplicated and fashionable styles” and will be “on the market with selective distribution” as early as this year. In the future, two shoe collections will be offered per year.

Baldessarini Managing Director Florian Wortmann explained the new partnership: “The shoe industry is a separate market that follows its own rhythms and rules. With Gordon & Bros, we brought in a professional in this industry because we are experts in the field of premium contemporary menswear, but not in the shoe industry,” he said in a statement. “By choosing a suitable license partner, we hope to use synergies and to be able to provide the shoe retail trade with a competent contact person. Together we will continue to strengthen the brand in this product group and generate additional growth.”
