Bagnaia wins MotoGP Dutch Grand Prix – Breaking Motorsports news

In the most important organization of motorcycle races, the 11th challenge of the season was held over 26 laps on the 4.5-kilometer track named after the Dutch city of Assen.

Bagnaia, who dominated the race he started in the pole position from start to finish, reached the 7th victory of his career, and this season he achieved important points in order to stay in the championship race.

National Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46), who crossed the finish line 0.444 seconds after Bagnaia, took 2nd place, while Spaniard Maverick Vinales (Aprilia), 1.209 seconds behind the leader, took 3rd place.

The rivalry between the French driver of the Monster Energy Yamaha team, Fabio Quartararo, and Aprilia’s Spanish driver, Aleix Espargaro, for the second place throughout the race, led to the crash of both drivers.

Halfway through the race, Quartararo lost control of his car on the corner and crashed into Espargaro. Despite losing time due to the accident, the Spanish driver, who managed to stay on his car, participated in the race from the 16th row and passed his opponents again to get the fourth place. The French pilot, who returned to the track in the last place after lifting his motorcycle, crashed once again towards the end of the race and was disqualified.

Last year’s champion, Quartararo, continued to lead the drivers’ classification with 172 points despite his bad result in this race.

The 12th race of the season, the Great British Grand Prix, will be run on Sunday, August 7th.

The top 5 places of the pilots classification are as follows:

1. Fabio Quartararo (France): 172 points

2. Aleix Espargaro (Spain): 151

3. Johann Zarco (France): 114

4. Francesco Bagnaia (Italy): 106
