Bag full of stolen iPhones found in The Hague after theft at Kingsland

The police found a bag full of stolen iPhones in The Hague after two reports of a stolen phone during King’s Day in Amsterdam. A 20-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of theft of the phones.

Two victims were separately robbed of their mobile phones at the Kingsland Festival near the Rai. Through Find My iPhone they discovered that their mobile phones may have ended up somewhere in the Paets van Troostwijkstraat in The Hague.

Officers searched the street, but could not locate the phones. However, more people were found in the street looking for stolen phones. On the nearby Allard Piersonlaan, officers later saw a man and a boy walking who left a bag on the street. They could be stopped. There were 21 mobile phones in the bag.

The two suspects have been arrested. The first victims to get their phones back were all robbed during Kingsland in Amsterdam. Anyone who has been robbed at the festival that day and recognizes their phone in the photo above can contact the police on 0900-8844.
