On Instagram a video appeared that made many laugh: a dog that, hearing a speech by Javier Milei on television, starts to bark with all his might. The phrase that accompanies it is the joke: “The Peron dog does not exist. The dog of a chasm: …”, with the scene as a perfect example.

The clip mixes political humor in an inevitable detail: Milei’s obsession for his own dogs. Since he arrived at the Casa Rosada, the president repeats that his English males are a central part of his life, to the point that in privacy he considers them advisors.

The story has a curious side. Conan, his most famous dog, died in 2017, but Milei argues that “it’s still alive.” Those who are today in olive trees are clones of that animal, product of a scientific procedure carried out in the United States.

In that context, the meme of the “a but dog” became doubly ironic. While Milei relies on his mastiffs as a symbol of loyalty and company, another dog, in a common living room, appears barking without mercy from the screen. A scene that summarizes the political ingenuity of the networks.
