Bad news for the De Wever government: budget deficit threatens to increase further to 39 billion euros in 2029

The budget work for the government of Prime Minister Bart De Wever (N-VA) has not been reduced in recent weeks. According to a new report from the Monitoring Committee, the deficit will be 4.2 percent of GDP (converted more than 26.5 billion euros). That is more than 400 million euros worse than in the July estimate. In 2029 there would be a deficit of 5.5 percent (good for 39 billion euros).
