The bags were found during work at the Hondsbossche Dunes, reports Marco Snijders, who was working on the beach on behalf of the earthmoving company where he works.
One backpack was located a little higher on the dune, the other behind the dike near the parking lot.
In the wet bags full of sand, Snijders found, among other things, a wallet with business cards of asylum lawyers in France, as well as gloves, magnesium pills, a toothbrush and toothpaste.
