For Riko Shibata, who is exactly 30 years younger than her husband, it is her first child. The American actor already has some experience with fatherhood. Cage already has two children from previous relationships: Kal-El (16) and Weston (31). The actor’s eldest son is in turn four years older than his plus-mom. Shibate and Cage tied the knot at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas in February 2021. For the actor it was already the fifth time that he gave his word. The news was confirmed by Nicolas himself at the time. “It’s true and we are very happy,” he said at the time. The couple met in 2019 and started dating after Cage’s last marriage – to Erika Koike – was officially dissolved. Koike was married to the American actor for a total of four days. Nicolas was previously married to Patricia Arquette (1995-2001), Lisa Marie Presley (2002-2004) and Alice Kim (2004 – 2016).

According to The Daily Mail, Cage proposed to his current wife Shibate via FaceTime. He sent her engagement ring to Japan with the help of FedEx. At official events, the two are rarely seen together. A few months after their wedding, they made their red carpet debut. Together they attended the premiere of ‘Pig’, a film starring Nicolas Cage, at the Nuart Theater in Los Angeles. In November they were spotted together again on the 2021 GQ Men of the Year party in West Hollywood.
