AZ does not agree with the settlement proposal from the professional football prosecutor to Denso Kasius of a three-match suspension, one of which is conditional. The case is now being handled by the KNVB disciplinary committee.
Kasius committed a foul on Pawel Bochniewicz during the draw at SC Heerenveen (2-2) on Sunday, after which he had to leave the field after VAR intervention.
The suspension is bad for AZ. Right back Yukinari Sugawara is currently playing with Japan in the Asian Cup. In the worst case scenario, they will lose the Japanese until February 10.
Feyenoord
AZ will play at home against Feyenoord for the competition on Sunday. Three days later, the Rotterdam team is the opponent again. Then for the quarter finals of the KNVB Cup.
