AZ midfielder Jordy Clasie back at the Dutch national team after 5.5 years

National coach Louis van Gaal has called up Jordy Clasie for the next two friendly matches of the Dutch national team. The AZ player played his last international match for the Orange in November 2016.

The born Haarlemmer was already in the preselection from VanGaal. Clasie played an international match seventeen times before, including at the 2014 World Cup. This season he is again a fixed value at AZ. Teammate Owen Wijndal is also there against Denmark and Germany.

Steven Berghuis, Daley Blind, Davy Klaassen and Jurriën Timber have been called up on behalf of Ajax. Ryan Gravenberch is missing and has to report to the Dutch Juniors.

On Saturday, March 26, the Orange squad will play an exhibition game against Denmark. Germany is the practice opponent three days later. Both matches will be played in the Johan Cruijff Arena.
