Authorities confirm norovirus outbreak on cruise ship in Bordeaux after death: 80 sick, passengers without symptoms allowed to leave boat

Earlier today, 1,700 people were quarantined on board a cruise ship in Bordeaux. The reason: the death of a British passenger, who succumbed to stomach flu (gastroenteritis). French authorities have now confirmed that this is an outbreak of the norovirus. Passengers without symptoms are allowed to leave the ship.
