Take a deep breath for Austria: Group A started on matchday two with the ÖFB team’s game against Northern Ireland. Both teams initially had to accept defeat and were under pressure. In a direct encounter, however, the players from the Alpine republic prevailed and won 2-0 (1-0) – and thus secured the first points of the tournament. Katharina Schiechtl (19th minute) and Katharina Naschenweng (88th) scored the goals.
