The fire brigade was called out on Friday afternoon to extinguish a house fire in Uffelte. It soon became clear that it was a fire in the attic on Dorpsstraat.
The fire started during insulation work in the attic and has now been extinguished. A ladder truck from the Meppel fire brigade had to be used.
The resident suffered smoke inhalation and was checked at the scene by the ambulance, after which he did not have to be taken to hospital.
