Did you think that most of the problems on the track for Zoetermeerders were over? Then you’re wrong. On Tuesday 30 August, NS employees will once again stop working and travelers from Zoetermeer will also notice a lot of this.

On Tuesday 30 August, Zoetermeer train passengers will have to look for alternative transport or work from home for a day. NS reports: “Due to the impact of Tuesday’s actions, no NS trains can run in the Netherlands all day, with the exception of the Amsterdam Central – Schiphol route.” That means an extra day in Zoetermeer!

Strike in Zoetermeer

In addition to Tuesday 30 August, the strike also took place on Friday 26 August. There were hardly any trains then. This made it very quiet at Zoetermeer station. Trains that did run from other carriers, such as Arriva.

Why again?

NS is engaged in a relay strike. Tomorrow’s actions are actually aimed at the Central Netherlands. But because many trains run from, to and through this area, train traffic throughout the country has been blocked. In addition, the adjustment that is currently in place in Utrecht will also cease. From there, NS employees normally run the trains to all parts of the country.
