A series of attacks in Oosterhout, Waalwijk and Kaatsheuvel appear to have a connection with each other. Last year, cars, homes and business premises went up in flames in those places on the assembly line. According to the police, it seems to be a conflict in the construction and real estate sector.

The explosions and fires happened between 14 October 2023 and 22 November 2024. Local residents also said to Omroep Brabant that they suspected that the actions were directed against the contractor who is building houses in those places.
The first explosions in the series in Brabant took place in Kaatsheuvel in March and April. A new apartment complex in Oosterhout became the target of arson five times in the summer. And in Waalwijk an explosive went off at a business premises. According to the police, local residents were really in danger. Doors were blown out and residents sat upright in their beds.
Attacker himself injured
