Hockey defenseman Atro Leppänen27, will continue his career in the Edmonton Oilers organization.
The Canadian club says it has signed a one-year extension with the effective Finnish defender. The contract is two-way.
Leppänen has scored 20 power points (3+17) in 28 AHL games this season. Leppänen has been the most effective defender of the farm club Bakersfield Condors.
Before moving to the Oilers organization, Leppänen played for two seasons in the SM league in Vaasan Sport.
In the 2024–25 season, he won the entire SC league point exchange, when he scored 63 power points in 60 regular season matches.
