After his round of 16 in Roland Garros, Daniel Altmaier left at the Rasmurnier in Halle in the first round.
Altmaier lost 3: 6 and 3: 6 on Monday to the world ranking elevator Daniil Medvedev. The Kempener was the only German participant to be challenged on the opening day of the lawn event.
The 26-year-old had decided to take the swing from Paris on the new topping. At the beginning of the game, however, Altmaier did not yet move with the grant that it takes against a top player like Medvedev. The former US Open winner secured the first round and quickly pulled away in the second set.
