Carlos Alcaraz moved into the final of the ATP Finals in Turin after a confident 6:2, 6:4 win against Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime. There he will meet defending champion Jannik Sinner on Sunday (November 16th, 2025 from 6 p.m. in the live ticker).
Tennis fans get their dream final: At the APT Finals in Turin, defending champion Jannik Sinner meets world number one Carlos. The latter secured the final ticket thanks to a dominant performance in the semi-finals.
Carlos Alcaraz put a lot of pressure on from the start and was rewarded for his aggressive style of play. Auger-Aliassime did everything he could and tried to make things as difficult as possible for the Spaniard. But that wasn’t enough to make Alcaraz really dangerous.
Alcaraz impressed with a strong serve and stable baseline game. He only allowed one breakball in the first set, which he fended off confidently. Auger-Aliassime, on the other hand, was only able to fend off four of six break points. Alcaraz dominated in all points, repeatedly forced his opponent to make mistakes and won the first set clearly and deservedly 6:2.
More resistance in the second set
The Canadian appeared more stable in the second set and made the game more balanced. But Alcaraz didn’t let that bother him. Even without blatant dominance, the Spaniard was still clearly better than his semi-final opponent – especially in the closer moments. Towards the end of the set, Alcaraz managed the decisive break and after 1:26 hours he finished the game 6:4 in the second set.
Dream finale “Sincaraz”
By reaching the final, Carlos Alcaraz confirms his top form. In the group stage, Alcaraz impressed with a flawless record of 3-0 wins. In the final against the Italian Jannik Sinner, Alcaraz has the chance to win his ninth title of the season in his eleventh final.
However, it will probably be much more difficult against Sinner, second in the world rankings, than in previous games. The two opponents dominate the tournaments like no one else: Sinner, the strategic, precise and controlled ball machine. Alcaraz, the strong-willed, creative, tireless free spirit. With “Sincaraz”, as tennis fans call the rivalry between the two tennis stars, they get their dream final.
