Second longest serving in top 5 leagues

Atlético Madrid has extended the contract of successful coach Diego Simeone, which expires at the end of the season. The 53-year-old signed a new working paper until June 30, 2027. Ex-professional Simeone has been on the “Colchoneros” bench since December 2011, making him the second longest-serving coach in the top 5 leagues behind Heidenheim’s Frank Schmidt.
