Mixed 100 meters of the DLV trio

With a comparatively pleasant temperatures of 23 degrees, the DLV trio in the nation stadium of Tokyo found a little cumbersome into the competition. Neugebauer made a time of 10.80 seconds over the 100 meters. It could have been a little faster for the Paris Olympic second, the best time of which is 10.61 seconds.

“Had hoped that it is a little faster”

Kaul could not be completely satisfied with 11.34 seconds. The 27-year-old had increased his personal best over the unloved 100 meters this year in Götzis to 11.12 seconds. “We had hoped that it was a little faster. He was a bit tangled,” said father and coach Michael Kaul on ZDF.

Steinforth, who had to undergo an intervention on the bar about ten weeks ago, ran 11.116 seconds.

Long jump – Neugebauer with 7.62 meters

In the long jump, Neugebauer saved his best attempt to conclude. In the third attempt, the 25-year-old jumped 7.62 meters, but remained significantly behind his season best (7.91 in Götzis). Kaul came to 7.21 meters, Steinforth jumped 7.07 meters.

Tokyo Olympic champion Warner not surprisingly not there

Damian Warner was surprisingly not on the starting block for the 100 meters. The Canadian Olympic champion of 2021 complains about problems on the Achilles tendon and withdrew his World Cup start at short notice.

In the absence of the injured Olympic champion Markus Rooth, his Norwegian compatriot Sander Skotheim is the gold favorite.
