Grief for athletes: runners dies at the age of 28

He was considered a great talent, had great goals. Now Eliud Kipsang has died.
The athletics world mourns the loss of Eliud Kipsang. The Kenyan medium -distance runner was only 28 years old – his environment is in shock.
As was communicated on a specially furnished page on the Gofundme donation platform, Kipsang had suffered a heart attack last Friday in Puyallup, a small town in the state of Washington. Despite medical care, the former medium -range runner did not survive the incident and died on Tuesday.
The Alabama State University’s college program, in which Kipsang was active between 2020 and 2022, confirmed the death of the former athlete.
Dan Waters, coach on College, expressed his deep affected: “His influence on our program went far beyond records and championships, he was a popular teammate, a brother for so many and a dear friend for me personally.” And further: “In the name of the entire Alabama family, we express our deepest condolences to his relatives. The running community has lost an extraordinary soul.”
During this time at College, Kipsang 2022 set up a new college record over 1,500 meters. His best time of 3: 33.74 minutes was enough for 20th place in the world year’s best list that was led by the Norwegian Olympic champion Jakob Inbrigtsen.
After moving to the profile camp in 2023, he signed a contract with the sporting goods manufacturer Adidas. In the direction of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, however, his ambitions were no longer publicly discussed, and his sporty path lost.
