President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with members of the Russian Security Council to discuss the macroeconomic situation in the country and the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

“A detailed conversation was on the negotiation process with Ukraine. Regret was expressed in connection with the slowness of the Ukrainian side,” Peskov added.

The spokesman said that the Security Council was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, State Duma and Federation Council speakers Vyacheslav Volodin and Valentina Matvienko, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, FSB head Alexander Bortnikov, head Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, Presidential Envoy for Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov, and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
