LOOK. Footage shows students fleeing shortly after the gunman opens fire on campus

According to the police, one suspect fired at two different locations on campus and then fled on foot. It would be a black, short man with a mask on. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital.

After a three-hour manhunt, the perpetrator was found dead, outside the campus. This is reported by ‘The New York Times’ based on information from the campus police. The gunman allegedly killed himself, as his body was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Around 8:30 p.m. local time, the police had used Twitter to look for the students in a safe place because shots had been heard on campus. About an hour later, law enforcement reported a second shooting near campus.

The circumstances of the shooting and the motive of the perpetrator are still very unclear. It is not known whether there was a connection between the university and the perpetrator.

Campus police say all activities are suspended for the next 48 hours. “Don’t come to the university tomorrow,” the police said.

About 50,000 students live on the university campus, the AP news agency reports.
