Asylum animal of the week: Overactive shepherd Indy is looking for a owner with a lot of free time

In collaboration with Dierentehuis Zoetermeer, we started the weekly search for a sweet and suitable owner for shelter animals. This week we are looking for a new home for the one year old Malinois Indy.

Dogs and cats regularly enter the animal shelter that are ready for a new start in their lives. One shelter animal leaves the shelter very quickly, the other needs some extra attention. The same goes for the overactive Indy who has to expend a lot of energy.

Train and think hard

At the animal shelter they call the bitch Indy workaholic. She is a real working dog which means that she prefers to work with her owner all day long. For her, it is not enough to walk in the park and run alongside the bicycle. Indy also needs mental challenges to release her energy.

Solve difficult puzzles

To really get tired, it is important that she is trained intensively and that she has to think. Examples of this are: solving difficult puzzles, tracking or another branch of dog sport. Not only are these things fun to do, but they are also a necessity for her to be happy.

This type of owner is wanted

Zoo Zoetermeer is looking for a boss for Indy with time and experience with working dogs. When she does not receive the right guidance, she will show problem behavior. She can take her in the car and after a period of adjustment she can stay home alone for a few hours.

Yes, Indy and I are a match
